Islamabad, Minister of State for Finance and Revenue Ali Pervaiz Malik emphasized that the 2024-25 federal budget is designed to maximize relief for the economically disadvantaged, despite the constraints of limited resources.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Malik, during a discussion on a private news channel, stated that the government has not introduced new taxes but has instead focused on tightening measures against non-filers to enhance tax compliance. He pointed out that this fiscal strategy aligns with the finance minister’s call for reforms under the home-grown economic program during the budget announcement.
The minister also credited the government’s prudent economic policies for the recent positive trends in the stock market, indicating that these measures are resonating positively within financial circles.
