Ishaq Dar Calls for Investment in Pakistan’s Mineral Wealth


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has extended an invitation to global investors to explore Pakistan’s abundant mineral reserves. Speaking at the opening session of the Minerals Investment Forum in Islamabad, Mr. Dar highlighted the country’s substantial deposits, including the well-known Reko Diq site, and a wealth of rare Earth elements, industrial minerals, non-metallics, and gemstones such as peridot and emerald.



Mr. Dar emphasized that Pakistan’s untapped mineral potential has the power to significantly influence international supply chains. By attracting foreign direct investment, the country aims to harness its resource corridor to drive economic growth and development.



The Minerals Investment Forum serves as a platform to showcase Pakistan’s mineral resources to potential international investors, encouraging partnerships and collaboration to develop this sector further.
