Islamabad, In the recent senatorial elections for the Islamabad Federal Capital Territory seats, Ishaq Dar of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Rana Mahmood ul Hassan of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) emerged victorious. These elections mark a significant political development, reflecting the current dynamics within Pakistan’s legislative framework.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ishaq Dar secured the technocrat seat with 222 votes, defeating Raja Ansar Mahmood of the Sunni Ittehad Council, who received 81 votes. Meanwhile, Rana Mahmood ul Hassan clinched the general seat with 224 votes, outpacing Farzand Hussain Shah from the Sunni Ittehad Council, who garnered 79 votes.
