Irfani urges UN, other global bodies to pay attention to Kashmiri children

Srinagar, June 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) General Secretary, Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani, has said that children in the territory are facing a very serious and dangerous situation.

Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani in a statement issued in Srinagar on the eve of International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression said the United Nations and international human rights organizations must also pay attention to the Kashmiri children. He lamented that in IIOJK every day children are being picked up and locked up in army camps and police stations where they are subjected to torture and inhuman treatment.

Bashir Irfani said the international children’s day demands that the UN, world human rights bodies and international organizations working for the protection of children’s rights in Kashmir should take notice and stop India from these inhumane tactics and give the Kashmiris their birth right to self-determination.

Meanwhile, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement, Jameel Mir, addressing party workers in Srinagar said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Indian regime was changing demography of Kashmir by setting up separate colonies for Pandits, non-Kashmiris and Indian soldiers.

He said those people who are advocating RSS-BJP agenda in Kashmir to change demography and strengthen India’s control over Kashmir are traitors. He urged the United Nations and world human rights groups to send their teams to IIOJK to probe the worst human rights abuses being perpetrated by Indian troops in the territory.

The Jammu and Kashmir Youth Freedom Fighters Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed, in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the excessive use of military force and barbaric tactics by the Modi-led fascist Indian government to suppress the Kashmiris’ liberation movement. He criticised the Indian fascist regime for its unrealistic approach, saying that all Indian coercive measures in the occupied territory had failed and urged New Delhi to refrain from its stubbornness and military arrogance and acknowledge the ground realities in Kashmir.
