Irfan Siddiqui Condemns India’s Actions Against Muslims

Islamabad: Irfan Siddiqui, a prominent parliamentary leader of Pakistan’s PML-N party, has expressed strong criticism of India’s human rights record, particularly regarding its treatment of Muslims and other minorities. In a statement broadcast on PTV News, Siddiqui accused India of adopting policies similar to those of Israel, especially in the troubled region of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

Siddiqui, addressing the audience, conveyed his apprehension that the conditions in Indian-occupied Kashmir could deteriorate to resemble the long-standing conflict between Israel and Palestine, particularly the ongoing tensions in Gaza.

The PML-N leader also condemned a recent statement by India that threatened to disrupt Pakistan’s water supply, labeling it as an act of aggression. He critiqued this as part of a broader pattern of intimidating behavior by India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Siddiqui’s comments come amid heightened tensions between the neighboring countries and add to the ongoing discourse about human rights practices in the region. His remarks underscore the urgent call for international attention to ensure the protection of minority rights and the prevention of further escalation in the conflict-prone area.
