Iranian President and Foreign Minister Perish in Helicopter Crash


Tabriz, In a tragic turn of events, Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi and his entourage, including Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, died in a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan province. The accident occurred shortly after they had inaugurated a dam near the border with the Azerbaijan Republic.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the helicopter was attempting a tough landing during a visit to Iran’s northwest region when the crash happened. Also among the casualties was East Azarbaijan Province’s Governor Malek Rahmati. The delegation was traveling to Tabriz City at the time of the incident.
