Iranian Foreign Minister and Pakistan Army Chief Hold Strategic Meeting at GHQ


RAWALPINDI: In a high-level meeting at the General Headquarters (GHQ) today, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi engaged in discussions with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M). The talks centered on the geo-strategic landscape, focusing on security challenges faced by both nations.



During the meeting, the Pak-Iran border security mechanism was reviewed, underscoring efforts to bolster bilateral coordination. General Munir emphasized the fraternal relationship between Pakistan and Iran, grounded in shared historical, cultural, and religious ties.



Both parties expressed commitment to continued engagement for enhanced bilateral cooperation, aiming for positive regional developments. The Iranian Foreign Minister acknowledged Pakistan’s contributions to regional peace and stability, expressing appreciation for its efforts.
