Islamabad, In a significant diplomatic interaction, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri-Moghaddam, led a delegation to the Central Police Office in Islamabad. During this visit, they engaged in discussions with Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan on various security matters.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting centered around the current security protocols and the strategies implemented by the Islamabad capital police to ensure robust security in the region. The Iranian delegation was particularly briefed about the comprehensive measures in place for maintaining foolproof security.
Further illustrating the security mechanisms, the Iranian Ambassador and his team were given a tour of Safe City Islamabad. They explored different sections including the Command and Control Centre, the Emergency Control Centre, the Dispatch Control Centre, and the “Pukar-15” helpline. These facilities are integral to the city’s security and emergency response framework.
Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the ICCPO, emphasized that ensuring the safety of foreign dignitaries and delegations is a high priority for the Islamabad capital police. He assured that all necessary measures are being taken to maintain the highest level of security for diplomatic visitors. The visit concluded with the ICCPO presenting a police shield to the Iranian Ambassador, symbolizing the mutual respect and cooperative spirit between the two entities.
