Islamabad, Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani engaged in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, today, during which the Iranian leadership extended congratulations to Pakistan for the successful execution of its parliamentary elections in 2024.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Iranian Foreign Minister, representing his nation’s leadership and citizens, conveyed best wishes to Pakistan’s caretaker government for orchestrating the 2024 parliamentary polls effectively. Foreign Minister Jilani expressed his gratitude for the kind gestures from the brotherly nation of Iran.
During their discussion, both ministers reviewed the deep-rooted fraternal relations that exist between Pakistan and Iran, affirming their dedication to enhancing bilateral cooperation across various fields of mutual interest. This conversation comes on the heels of the Iranian Foreign Minister’s visit to Pakistan earlier this month, marking a full resumption of official dialogues between the two nations.
