Islamabad, June 22, 2021 (PPI-OT): London-based distinguished Kashmiri intellectual, Syed Inayatullah Andrabi has termed India’s invite for talks to the political leaders of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir as an open admission by the Modi govt of its total defeat in pushing for a complete annexation of the disputed territory post 5 August 2019.
In a series of tweets, Syed Inayatullah Andrabi further said that the credit went to the heroic resistance of the Kashmiris for New Delhi’s failure. He maintained that as for Kashmir and its future, the invitation by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to IIOJK’s politicians is a non-event. He pointed out that the future of Kashmir has been decisively defined by the Stone Pelter, representing not an individual but a powerful metaphor for the rejectionist attitude of the Kashmiri people towards India’s occupation of Kashmir.
The Kashmiri scholar explained that these politicians, whom he called former deputies, are essentially the political assets India created in 1947, and after August 2019 BJP has been trying hard to create a new post-370 politics in Kashmir, but it has miserably failed thanks to the heroic resistance – silent but meaningful – by the Kashmiri people. Inayatullah Andrabi said that any future politics to flourish on ground in the occupied territory must be in sync with Stone Pelter spirit, adding, rest everything is doomed to fail bringing shame to its perpetrators, as it has now to Modi government.
