Islamabad, When International Day of Tolerance is being observed across the world, today, Muslims of India and occupied Jammu and Kashmir are witnessing growing intolerance at the hands of Hindutva-led Modi government of India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in connection with the day, today, said Indian government is using violence, intimidation, terror and harassment against Muslims in India and occupied Jammu and Kashmir as a state policy. The report added that hate crimes against Muslims and other minorities have increased manifold particularly after 2014 when Modi came into power in India.
Illegally detained APHC leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan in a message from New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail appealed to the international community to impress upon India to take concrete steps for settlement of the Kashmir dispute, once and for all. He said the Indian government has waged a war against defenceless population of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Indian government has attached more properties of Kashmiri Muslims in Poonch and Pulwama districts. The properties of three Kashmiri brothers Mehmood Hussain, Zaffer Iqbal and Javaid Iqbal were attached in Mendhar area of Poonch while State Investigation Agency seized land of Ghulam Nabi Wani, father of Hurriyat activist Ishfaq Ahmad Wani, measuring over seven kanals in Arigam area of Pulwama district.
An Indian Army man committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle inside 31- Rashtariya Rifles camp in Udhampur district. This incident has raised the number of such deaths among the Indian army and police personnel in the occupied territory to 587 since January 2007.
