Interns from Anti-Narcotics Force academy visits Safe City Project Islamabad

Islamabad, December 20, 2022 (PPI-OT):A delegation of interns from Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) academy visited the Safe City project Islamabad and was briefed about its efficient functioning as well as contribution in ensuring effective security in the city. The delegation of male and female interns was briefed by director technical Safe City Faraz Ahmad. The students were informed that, the Safe City Project under the supervision of Inspector General of Police Islamabad and CPO safe city Rommel Akram is fully operational and working effectively.

They were also briefed about the Monitoring Center, Emergency Control Centre, Dispatch Control Centre, E-Challan, “Pukar-15” helpline and AI enabled cameras. Following the directions of IGP Islamabad, he said that new techniques and systems are being introduced in policing affairs. He said that the E-Challan system has been introduced and fine tickets are dispatched at the houses of those involved in violation of traffic rules. Which is playing a key role in eradicating traffic accidents in the city, he added.

He further said that, the helpline of Islamabad Capital Police (Pukar-15) receives thousands of calls on a daily basis and complaints of citizens are addressed through prompt action. Moreover, police officials investigating various cases visit the safe city project and its cameras are greatly helpful for prevention of crime and ensure arrest of criminals wanted in various cases. Students appreciated the use of technology by Islamabad capital police in its affairs and said that it is really a great service to immediately respond to public complaints and address their issues on a priority basis.
