International Workshop on Strategic Marketing for Digital Transformation Kicks Off in Islamabad

Islamabad: The four-day International Training Workshop on Strategic Marketing for Digital Transformation was inaugurated on Monday by Mr. Muhammad Asad Islam Mahni, Additional Secretary of the Industries and Production Division. The workshop, a collaborative effort between the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and Pakistan’s National Productivity Organization (NPO), aims to equip marketing professionals from various APO member countries with advanced digital marketing strategies to enhance business growth.

According to National Productivity Organization announcement issued on 10 September 2024, the event, held from the 10th to the 13th of September 2024, features 18 international participants from Mongolia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Turkey, alongside 10 local participants from Pakistan. Mr. Muhammad Asad Islam Mahni praised the APO for its substantial role in fostering productivity growth within the Asia-Pacific region. In his opening remarks, he reiterated the necessity to reinforce our dedication to realizing APO’s vision for inclusive, innovation-led productivity enhancement.

The workshop is not only a platform for learning but also an opportunity for significant international collaboration. The Additional Secretary expressed his gratitude towards both organizing bodies for addressing the pivotal theme of marketing in the digital age. He highlighted the importance of such collaborations in overcoming the emerging challenges in the field.

Mr. Muhammad Alamgir Chaudhry, CEO of NPO, acknowledged the contributions of the Additional Secretary, APO Program Officer, and various international experts participating in the workshop. He shared insights about Pakistan’s ongoing initiatives toward digital transformation, including the National Productivity Master Plan and the Productivity Measurement System, which are designed to amplify productivity and implement productivity-linked wages throughout the country.

Experts from Malaysia and Pakistan will lead the sessions, focusing on cutting-edge trends, tools, and practices in strategic digital marketing. The curriculum covers a range of topics from digital strategies and data-driven decision-making to customer-centric methodologies, offering a rich learning environment for all attendees.

Mr. Dong Jin Lee, Program Officer at APO, emphasized the workshop’s role in fostering a network of knowledgeable marketing professionals poised to drive productivity and competitiveness in their respective nations.
