Islamabad, As the 2024 elections unfold across Pakistan, international observers and journalists, invited by the Election Commission, are currently assessing the polling process to ensure its integrity and transparency. Among these observers, a 25-member delegation from the Commonwealth Observers Group made their way to various polling stations within the NA-47 constituency in Islamabad earlier today, evaluating the procedures and operations firsthand.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Commonwealth delegation reported their satisfaction with the smooth and transparent nature of the polling process they witnessed. The purpose behind these visits by international observers is to monitor the electoral process closely, providing an unbiased review of how the elections are being conducted.
In a similar vein, a delegation from the Japanese Overseer group visited a polling station in the NA-48 constituency of Islamabad. During their visit, the presiding officer and their staff briefed the delegation on the election procedures, further contributing to the international community’s efforts to oversee the electoral process in Pakistan.
