Islamabad: The German Junior Hockey Team, current world champions, has arrived in Pakistan for a four-match series. This marks the return of international hockey to Pakistan after 30 years and is a significant milestone in the revival of the sport. Under the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, this initiative aims to provide Pakistani junior players with international exposure and reestablish Pakistan as a hub for global hockey.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, the series is set to feature one match in Islamabad and three in Lahore, offering an exciting competition for fans. Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood, welcomed the German team and extended best wishes to both teams. He described the series as an excellent opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Germany through sports.
