International Conference on ‘Women in Islam’ Begins in Jeddah

Jeddah, An International Conference on ‘Women in Islam: Status and Empowerment’ has commenced in Jeddah, jointly organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Saudi Arabia. The conference was reported by the Ministry of Information Broadcasting & National Heritage.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Human Rights and Women Empowerment, is leading the Pakistani delegation. The conference aims to facilitate broad-based discussions on the role of women in Islamic society, focusing on their rights and responsibilities. It is expected to culminate in the production of a comprehensive document titled ‘The Jeddah Document on Women in Islam’.
