Islamabad, In a strategic move to ensure a secure environment for the general elections, the Interior Ministry has set up a dedicated control room in Islamabad to oversee the overall security situation across the country. This initiative is part of a comprehensive plan to maintain peace and order during the electoral process.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the control room will operate round the clock with representatives from all provincial home departments, police, the Election Commission, and other relevant agencies. Its main function is to closely monitor the security landscape throughout the election period, facilitating seamless communication between the central control room and provincial, regional, and district control rooms.
The establishment of this control room underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the electoral process. By fostering close liaison between various law enforcement agencies and departments, the initiative aims to provide a timely response to any complaints or untoward incidents, ensuring that the elections are conducted smoothly and without disruption.
