Islamabad, In a significant development for Pakistan’s anti-narcotics efforts, Caretaker Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, inaugurated a state-of-the-art Forensic Lab at the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Academy in Islamabad.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the inauguration ceremony, Minister Bugti highlighted the lab’s critical importance in enhancing Pakistan’s drug detection capabilities. The lab is equipped with advanced technology to expedite the process of prosecutions, alleviate the workload on existing forensic facilities, and significantly improve the efficiency of drug detection operations.
The Minister lauded the pivotal role of the Anti-Narcotics Force in battling drug trafficking within the country and on a global scale. He recognized the challenges faced by the ANF and assured full support from the government to address any shortcomings in the force’s operational capabilities.
This new facility marks a major step forward in Pakistan’s ongoing fight against drug trafficking and substance abuse, providing the ANF with the necessary tools to conduct thorough and efficient investigations.
