Interior Minister Urges Timely Completion of Islamabad Safe City Project


ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has emphasized the timely completion of the Safe City Phase-II project during his visit to the Safe City Headquarters in Islamabad. The initiative aims to transform the city into a Capital Smart City by integrating relevant institutions onto a single platform to ensure better safety and security.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Interior Minister chaired a meeting where he directed officials to upgrade the control room to meet modern technological standards and complete the project within the designated timeline. The project is viewed as a significant step towards providing a safer environment for residents of the Federal Capital.



During his visit, Naqvi also inspected the ongoing renovation and upgradation work at the headquarters. He was briefed on the progress of the Fusion Center and the development of a modern control room. Officials reported that the project is advancing rapidly, with the digital system expected to be operational by the end of the month.
