Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti Discusses Security Cooperation with Chinese Ambassador

Islamabad, Interior Minister Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, in a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong, affirmed Pakistan’s readiness to play a proactive role in international cooperation, particularly in enhancing global security. The discussions, which encompassed various mutual interests, focused on strengthening bilateral relations and security cooperation.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Bugti referenced the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and China, anticipating further collaboration in security and other fields following Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar’s recent visit to China. He expressed confidence in implementing agreements made during the Prime Minister’s visit and lauded Chinese President Xi Jinping’s global security initiative. Bugti also reassured the Ambassador of Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring the security of Chinese citizens in the country, emphasizing the nation’s resolve to combat terrorism. The Chinese Ambassador commended Pakistan’s efforts in fighting terrorism and thanked the Interior Minister for prioritizing the safety of Chinese nationals in Pakistan.
