Interior Minister Pays Tribute to Pakistan Navy’s Sacrifices on Navy Day


Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the Pakistan Navy’s sacrifices and services, acknowledging its critical role in defending the nation’s maritime borders, in a special message delivered on Navy Day.



According to Press Information Department, Naqvi highlighted the significance of September 8 in Pakistan’s defense history, recalling the Navy’s destruction of the enemy’s naval forces during the 1965 war. He emphasized that this day is marked by sacrifices, dedication, and notable achievements, noting that the Navy repelled enemy attacks alongside the Army and Air Force. The Interior Minister expressed pride in the Navy’s personnel for their continued protection of the country’s maritime borders, and underscored that their contributions during the 1965 conflict will forever be remembered. He added that Pakistan Navy remains prepared to meet any challenges, and reiterated the importance of Navy Day as an occasion to honor the bravery of the Navy’s officers and sailors.
