Karachi: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has inaugurated a new passport office at the NADRA Mega Center in Nazimabad, Karachi, aiming to provide greater convenience for citizens. The office will operate around the clock in three shifts, enabling residents to apply for passports at any time.
According to a statement by Press Information Department, during the ceremony, the Interior Minister inspected passport counters and engaged with the staff. He also interacted with citizens visiting the center for passport and ID card services, gathering feedback on their experiences. The attendees expressed satisfaction with the new facilities and extended their gratitude to the minister.
The facility was praised by visitors as a beneficial move that simplifies access for the public. Additionally, Mohsin Naqvi addressed issues faced by women visiting the center for biometric verification under the Benazir Income Support Program. He provided on-the-spot directives to address their concerns, which was met with appreciation from the visitors.
The Interior Minister reiterated the government’s duty to address the public’s challenges. A detailed briefing on the operations of the passport office was also provided to him. DG Passport Mustafa Jamal Qazi and other senior officials attended the inauguration.
