Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has issued a call to the international community, urging concerted efforts to combat human trafficking. His appeal highlights the grave impact of traffickers who exploit thousands of individuals for profit. The minister’s message was delivered on the occasion of the World Day Against Human Trafficking, emphasizing the urgent need to address this global issue.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Naqvi pointed out that unemployment, poverty, and the unequal distribution of wealth are key factors contributing to the rise in human trafficking. He commended the Federal Investigation Agency for its vigilance and effectiveness in apprehending numerous traffickers, thereby reinforcing the government’s commitment to combating this pervasive crime.
