Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Honors Martyrs on International Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism


Islamabad: On the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi dedicated a poignant tribute to the martyrs who have fallen in Pakistan’s long-standing battle against terrorism. In a solemn ceremony held on August 21, 2024, Naqvi expressed deep gratitude and respect for their sacrifices, which have aimed to secure a peaceful future for the nation.



According to Press Information Department, Minister Naqvi emphasized the irreplaceable losses endured by Pakistani society across all its segments—including the military, police, and other law enforcement agencies—which have collectively paid a heavy price in lives to establish peace across the country. He underscored the unparalleled nature of Pakistan’s sacrifices in the global fight against terrorism, noting the extensive human cost borne by the nation, with thousands killed and injured.



The minister assured the families of the martyrs that the government and the people of Pakistan stand firmly with them, offering solemn tributes and affirming national solidarity with all victims of terrorism. He reiterated the nation’s resolve to continue its fight against terrorism with determination and courage, vowing to pursue peace and security for future generations.



The ceremony was marked by a collective reaffirmation of support for those affected by terrorism and a renewed commitment to eradicating this menace from Pakistan.
