Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Highlights China’s Impact on Pakistan’s Economic Development

Lahore: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi recently praised the significant contributions of China to Pakistan’s economic growth, particularly through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, which he said have elevated the bilateral friendship to new heights. This commendation came during his meeting with Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren in Lahore, where they discussed further strengthening the ties between the two nations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting, which coincided with the Chinese National Day, allowed both officials to explore new avenues for enhancing mutual interests and bilateral relations. Minister Naqvi lauded President Xi Jinping’s leadership, noting China’s rapid progress as a benchmark for other nations.

The Interior Minister reiterated the deep and enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, emphasizing that the strategic cooperation extends beyond economic ties to encompass a broad range of sectors. He remarked on China’s unforgettable role in bolstering Pakistan’s economy and assured that the strong bond between the two countries would persist indefinitely.

On his part, Consul General Zhao appreciated the recent procedural amendments made by Pakistan that favor Chinese businessmen and affirmed the continuous cooperation between the two countries, referring to Pakistan as China’s “best friend.”
