Turbat: Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi visited the Frontier Corps Balochistan South Headquarters, where he honored the sacrifices of fallen soldiers and praised the Frontier Corps’ efforts in maintaining peace and combating smuggling in the region. Upon arrival, he was received by Inspector General Frontier Corps South, Major General Bilal Safraz Khan.
According to Press Information Department, during his visit, Minister Naqvi paid tribute at the martyrs’ memorial by laying a floral wreath and offering Fateha. He recognized the significant role played by Frontier Corps South in addressing security challenges posed by the group Fitna Al Khawarij and acknowledged their contributions to peace and stability in Balochistan.
In an important meeting at the headquarters, Naqvi was briefed on ongoing operations against Fitna Al Khawarij and anti-smuggling initiatives. He lauded the Frontier Corps’ successful seizure of illegal items worth approximately Rs. 4.7 billion over the past six months. The minister emphasized the vital connection between peace and the development of Balochistan, highlighting the need for coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to empower the province’s youth and promote sustainable development through initiatives like sports competitions.
Minister Naqvi assured that the professional needs of the Frontier Corps South would be met within the available resources, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting the security forces in their crucial role as protectors of Balochistan’s peace.
