Interior Minister Meets Chinese Counterpart to Bolster Intelligence Sharing

Beijing: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with his Chinese counterpart, Qi Yanjun, during his visit to China, agreeing to enhance intelligence sharing between the two nations. The meeting also focused on strengthening border security and exploring the application of modern technology for police and paramilitary forces.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, the officials engaged in a detailed discussion regarding the acquisition of advanced equipment and technology for Pakistan’s police force from China. The dialogue included plans for increased cooperation between the National Police Academy of Pakistan and Chinese authorities, as well as fostering ties between the Beijing Police and Islamabad Police.

Both ministers expressed satisfaction over the progress achieved in the Joint Working Group meeting held in January. The bilateral meeting, which lasted for two hours, concluded with an invitation extended by Minister Naqvi to his Chinese counterpart to visit Pakistan.
