Interior Minister Honors Pakistan Air Force on Air Force Day


Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid homage to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Air Force Day, celebrating their historic achievements and contributions to the nation’s defense. The minister highlighted the pivotal role played by the PAF in the 1965 war, particularly praising the aerial prowess and strategic impact demonstrated during the conflict.



According to Press Information Department, Minister Naqvi’s tribute focused on the heroics of the PAF, especially the legendary pilot MM Alam, who is renowned for downing five enemy aircraft within a minute a record in aerial combat. “On September 7, the brave officers of Pakistan Air Force destroyed the enemy’s aerial power and wrote unmatched chapters of courage, bravery, and valor,” stated Naqvi, referring to the significant date in 1965 that is celebrated annually as Air Force Day.



The minister also underscored the perpetual readiness and valor of the Air Force personnel, who he noted have consistently protected Pakistan’s skies despite limited resources. Naqvi’s message conveyed deep respect and appreciation for the sacrifices of the PAF, emphasizing that their efforts in safeguarding the nation are permanently etched in history and honored by the entire country.
