Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with the newly appointed heads of the Federal Investigation Agency and the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, emphasizing the need for stringent measures against illegal immigration and cybercrime.

The meeting included Director General of the FIA, Riffat Mukhtar Raja, and Director General of the NCCIA, Waqar Uddin Syed. Also present were Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and Federal Secretary for Interior Muhammad Khurram Agha.

Minister Naqvi tasked the FIA with formulating an effective strategy to combat illegal immigration. He ordered a nationwide crackdown on human trafficking networks, highlighting the serious nature of the crime and the need for strict action against those involved.

Minister of State Talal Chaudhry echoed this sentiment, stating that there should be no leniency for human traffickers. He emphasized the importance of cooperation among law enforcement agencies to eradicate illegal activities and organized crime.

In addressing cybercrime, Naqvi directed the DG NCCIA to enhance efforts in curbing such activities. He recognized cybersecurity as a growing challenge and announced plans to bolster the capacity of the NCCIA. This includes sending officers abroad for specialized training to better equip them in tackling cyber threats.
