Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has pledged the government’s full support for the annual congregation of the Tablighi Jamaat. During a meeting in Islamabad with a delegation from the religious group, Naqvi assured that the government would facilitate the issuance of visas for foreign participants.
The minister indicated that, as in previous years, special counters will be set up at airports to aid the incoming international attendees. He emphasized the importance of providing these facilities as a duty and an act of service for the promotion of Islam.
The Tablighi Jamaat delegation briefed the minister on the preparations for the upcoming event, scheduled to take place next month. The meeting concluded with a prayer for the victims of recent floods, as well as for the prosperity and security of the country.
