Inter-faith moot in Budgam condemns attempts to destroy future of young generation

Srinagar, October 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the third inter-faith conference was organized in Mirgund, Budgam, in connection with Eid Milad-ul-Nabi. The inter-faith conference was organized under the auspices Anjuman Sharie Shia in which leaders of different religions and sects participated. Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference and President of Anjuman Sharie Shian Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi Al-Safvi presided over the conference.

At the end of the conference, a resolution was unanimously passed, in which it was said that this conference will promote human values, human brotherhood and communal tolerance in the Kashmir valley by making the humanistic life of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) as an example. “This conference will continue to play its effective role and work to counter all the motivations that are causing damage to the ideals of mutual brotherhood and interfaith unity in Kashmir,” the resolution added.

The resolution condemned the decision of the authorities to openly buy and sell alcohol in the Kashmir valley and said that the move was a deliberate attempt to destroy the future of the new generation of Kashmir and to undermine human dignity here. The resolution, condemning the continued illegal house detention of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, demanded his immediate release. It also demanded the release of all the detained scholars.

Besides others, Dr Mehdi Alizada Moosvi, Maulana Syed Shamsur Rehman, Maulana Khursheed Ahmed Qanoongo, Dr Qadir Jilani, Advocate Muntazer Mehdi Al Moosvi, Christian Pastors Paul and John Phillips, Harbans Singh of Gurudwara Pariband Committee Kashmir, Mehit Bhan, Dr Muhammad Maroof Shah, Prof Muhammad Zaman Azarda and Prof Arshad Aziz participated while Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Allama Amin Shaheedi, Chairman of Save Sharada Committee Ravinder Pandita and prominent Indian columnist Sudhindra Kulkarni expressed their views through video messages.
