ISLAMABAD: In a series of citywide search operations, the Islamabad Police have checked more than 542 individuals as part of an effort to curb crime and crack down on criminal activities in the capital. This initiative follows special directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aiming to enhance security and tighten oversight across various areas of the city.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. The operations included checks on 208 households, 98 shops, 44 hotels, 286 motorcycles, and 114 vehicles. As a result, 57 suspicious individuals and 12 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification.

SSP Operations Islamabad articulated that these searches are part of a broader strategy to fortify security measures and exert pressure on criminal elements. The police emphasize continuous actions against criminal entities, land grabbers, and drug dealers throughout the district.

The Islamabad Police encourage citizens to report any suspicious activities to their nearest police station or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to ensure community safety.
