Inspired by battle of Karbala, Kashmiris are struggling for freedom from Indian yoke: Saghar

Islamabad, July 26, 2023 (PPI-OT): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) Convener, Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, has said inspired by the great message of Karbala, the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are carrying on their struggling for freedom from the Indian subjugation.

Mehmood Ahmed Saghar in a statement issued in Islamabad said the incident of Karbala teaches us to fight for the protection of human values and rights. He said that following the footprints of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) – the grandson of Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) – and his companions who sacrificed their lives in the battle of Karbala, the oppressed people of IIOJK have been offering sacrifices for a just cause. He said Karbala incident carries the message of a vigorous struggle against oppression and this battle was a lesson not only for Muslims but for all freedom-loving people of the world.

APHC-AJK Convener deplored that India has banned Muharram processions in occupied Kashmir and started arrests by raiding houses. He maintained that the incident of Karbala has proved that only the forces of truth can stand against falsehood. He said the Kashmiris have been facing the Indian brutalities for decades but are determined to continue their just struggle till they achieve their cherished goal of freedom.
