INSPAD President Urges US Intervention in Palestinian-Israeli Conflict

Islamabad, Sardar Muhammad Tahir Tabassum, President of the Institute of Peace and Development (INSPAD), a prominent international organization championing human rights and peace, has called upon the United States to intervene in halting what he described as the “massacre of Palestinians by Israel.”

According to a news release by Kashmir Media Service, during a statement made in Islamabad, Tabassum strongly advocated for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. He emphasized that the Palestinian people’s religion should not be a reason for their suffering. Highlighting his concerns regarding international mediation, Tabassum expressed skepticism about the roles of both the United Nations and the United States, questioning their future credibility.

In his statement, he challenged Israel’s actions and asked why more stringent measures hadn’t been imposed against it, especially when it seemed to disregard global calls for peace. Further, Tabassum called on member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take a stronger stance by boycotting Israel entirely.

Highlighting the urgent needs of the Palestinians, the INSPAD president emphasized that tangible support, beyond mere statements and promises, is needed from Islamic nations, especially given the decades-long oppression faced by the Palestinian people.

Tabassum also expressed concerns about the broader implications of the conflict, warning of its potential to spread beyond Gaza and impact numerous countries. Reflecting on the recent conflicts, he remarked on the significant loss of life in Gaza and the extensive infrastructural damage, viewing it as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by Muslim nations.
