INLD Leader Nafe Singh Rathi Killed in Haryana

New Delhi, In a shocking incident that has raised serious concerns about the law and order situation in Haryana, Nafe Singh Rathi, the Haryana president of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and a former two-time Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), along with his associate, were fatally shot by unidentified assailants in Bahadurgarh town. The attack occurred near Barahi level crossing, underscoring the escalating violence in the state governed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

According to Kashmir Media Service, Rathi and his associate, Jai Kishan, fell victim to a daylight ambush executed by car-borne gunmen. The brazen attack has prompted outcry from political figures across the spectrum, highlighting a perceived breakdown in security and governance under the current state administration.

Abhay Chautala, a leading figure in the deceased’s party, criticized the state government for its failure to provide adequate security to Rathi, despite known threats against him. Chautala’s demands for the resignation of Haryana’s Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Home Minister Anil Vij underscore the political ramifications of this incident.

The assassination has elicited reactions from various political leaders, including former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda, who sees this event as indicative of the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. Kumari Selja, a former Congress MP, condemned the killing, attributing the state’s violent climate to the ruling BJP’s policies, which she likened to a “jungle raj.”

The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Haryana Vice President, Anurag Dhanda, also expressed dismay at the incident, arguing that it reflects the complete collapse of law and order under the BJP’s governance. Dhanda’s comments highlight the widespread concern over public safety and the effectiveness of law enforcement in the state.

The murder of Nafe Singh Rathi and his associate has cast a long shadow over Haryana’s political and security landscape, prompting calls for accountability and immediate action to restore order and confidence among the state’s residents.
