Information Minister Refutes PTI’s Claims of Worker Deaths

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has firmly dismissed assertions made by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding the alleged deaths of its workers. Tarar addressed the media in Islamabad, labeling the claims as false propaganda intended to manipulate public perception.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tarar criticized PTI for what he described as a consistent pursuit of victimhood through unfounded narratives. He stated that his personal inspection of the area from D-Chowk to the Seventh Avenue in Islamabad revealed no evidence of gunfire or violence by law enforcement, countering PTI’s assertions of fatalities and unrest.

Tarar reported the arrest of 37 Afghan nationals and the confiscation of weapons, including teargas shells, from protesters, suggesting that these findings undermine PTI’s claims. He also accused PTI of attempting to disrupt the visit of the President of Belarus, aiming to provoke unrest in the capital and negatively affect the country’s economy and international standing.
