Islamabad: A flag-raising function took place at the Pakistan Television (PTV) central office in Islamabad today to commemorate Independence Day. Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, hoisted the national banner.
In his address, Tarar praised PTV’s contribution to boosting national morale during what he termed the “Marka-e-Haq.” He stated that Independence Day not only celebrates liberation but also signifies Pakistan’s victory in this struggle for truth.
Tarar added that Pakistan has effectively prevailed in the information and narrative battle on the ideological front.
The event was attended by Information Secretary and PTV Managing Director Ambreen Jan, Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Director General Saeed Ahmed Shaikh, and officials from the Ministry of Information, Radio Pakistan, and PTV.
