Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar condemned the harassment of a female participant during a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Power, declaring such behavior utterly unacceptable.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tarar expressed strong disapproval of the maltreatment directed at the woman by MNA Iqbal Afridi, a member of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI). He underscored the societal challenges faced by women and labeled the incident as indicative of PTI’s fascism. The minister demanded that PTI take swift action against Afridi by revoking his party membership.
