Karachi, Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, has pledged the government’s commitment to resolving the concerns of Baloch protesters in Islamabad through peaceful negotiations. The Minister’s statement comes amid ongoing efforts to address the grievances of the protesters, who have gathered in the capital to voice their demands.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Solangi, in an interview with a private news TV channel, emphasized the government’s intention to engage in dialogue with the protesters from Balochistan. He highlighted the ongoing steps to ensure their return to their homes with dignity, respect, and safety. The Minister noted that a majority of the protesters are women, and informed that women who were detained two days prior have been released, with the release of 163 detained men also in progress.
The Minister underscored the right of every individual to engage in peaceful protest, assuring that the government is committed to ensuring the well-being of the protesters. He mentioned that adequate security, ambulance, and medical facilities have been made available to those participating in the protests.
Further, Minister Solangi assured that the protesters from Balochistan faced no hindrance during their journey to Islamabad and were treated with respect, ensuring no misconduct occurred. These statements reflect the government’s approach to handling the situation, prioritizing dialogue and peaceful means to resolve the concerns raised by the protesters.
