Information Minister Attaullah Tarar Praises Pakistan Navy’s Role in National Defense and Economic Development

Islamabad: At a ceremony held at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad today, marking Navy Day, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar highlighted the critical role of the Pakistan Navy in the country’s defense and its contributions to promoting the blue economy. The event also included a tribute to the martyrs who have served in the Navy.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Tarar praised the Navy for its readiness to defend Pakistan against any threats while also emphasizing the nation’s desire for peaceful relations with its neighbors. He reaffirmed the armed forces’ commitment to eradicating terrorism entirely from the country and expressed confidence that the sacrifices of the martyrs would lead to lasting peace.

The Minister underscored the strategic importance of the blue economy to Pakistan’s sustainable economic development, noting the Navy’s pivotal role in leveraging maritime resources. During the ceremony, he also laid a floral wreath at the martyrs’ memorial and offered fateha, paying homage to the Navy personnel who have laid down their lives for the country.
