Information Minister Attaullah Tarar Criticizes PTI Rally, Claims Public Disinterest

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has publicly stated that the recent rally held by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has failed to draw significant public support. During a press interaction in Islamabad today, he accused PTI of disseminating misinformation through social media and of failing to mobilize significant support in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Tarar remarked that normal traffic flow in the federal capital was evidence of the rally’s lack of impact. He acknowledged the democratic right of political parties to hold public rallies but noted that such events should comply with the time restrictions set by the district administration.

Tarar also addressed the ongoing accountability processes, asserting that PTI’s leadership would not be swayed by pressure tactics and must respond to allegations in the Toshakhana and 190 million pound corruption cases. His comments underscore the government’s stance on maintaining strict accountability irrespective of political pressures.
