Islamabad, Murtaza Solangi, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting, has expressed a compelling call to bridge and harmonize the efforts of departments affiliated with the Information Ministry, emphasizing the integration of their respective social media channels.
According to a news release by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the appeal came during a discussion at the Pak-China center in Islamabad concerning the unification of social media accounts across the ministry’s various departments. Minister Solangi highlighted that entities such as Radio Pakistan, PTV, and the Associated Press of Pakistan, being chief channels of news distribution, can benefit from a cohesive approach in the digital sphere, especially on social media platforms. He accentuated that a broader government footprint on social platforms could efficaciously present Pakistan’s narrative, bolstering a favorable perception both within the country and on the global stage.
The meeting saw the participation of key figures, including Secretary Information Zahoor Ahmed and Director General Radio Pakistan Tahir Hassan, along with other high-ranking officials from the Ministry and its affiliated departments.
