Information Minister Accuses PTI of Politicizing National Security, Dismisses Dialogue Offer

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has firmly rejected the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) recent offer for dialogue, labeling it a conspiracy against the state. In a press conference held in front of Parliament today, Tarar criticized PTI’s actions and its impact on Pakistan’s national institutions and international relations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tarar described PTI as a political risk, suggesting that their dialogue offer was merely an attempt to politicize national issues for their own gain. He also branded PTI as a source of chaos within the country, citing their involvement in the attacks on national monuments and institutions on May 9th, and implicating the family of PTI’s founder in these events.

In addition to political concerns, the Minister highlighted recent economic improvements, attributing them to the government’s policies. He noted positive shifts in Fitch’s ratings, decreasing interest rates, and rising foreign reserves as indicators of economic progress. Tarar asserted that the country’s stock exchange has thrived since the incarceration of PTI’s founder, suggesting his absence has beneficially impacted national development.
