Indonesia Seeks to Boost Investment and Trade with Sindh, Governor Extends Support

Karachi: Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, has encouraged Indonesian investors to capitalize on the economic potential of Sindh, promising full support and cooperation. The Governor expressed these views in a meeting with Acting Consul General of Indonesia, Teguh Wiweko, held at the Governor’s House on September 26.

According to Sindh Governor House, during the discussions, which covered various topics including bilateral relations and trade enhancement, Governor Tesori highlighted the province’s attractive sectors and skilled workforce, describing them as ideal for investment. He emphasized the importance of utilizing strong bilateral relations to boost trade with Indonesia, believing that increased investment and trade could stabilize and strengthen these ties.

Acting Consul General Wiweko extended an invitation to Governor Tesori to attend the 79th Independence Day celebrations of Indonesia, marking a gesture of goodwill between the two regions. Wiweko remarked on the excellent state of Indonesia’s relations with Pakistan and expressed a desire to see Pakistan prosper economically. He also praised the ongoing initiatives in Sindh such as IT courses, ration drives, and the bell of hope, which he described as impressive.

This meeting underscores a mutual interest in deepening economic and diplomatic connections between Sindh and Indonesia, aiming for prosperous outcomes for both regions.
