Karachi, January 05, 2023 (PPI-OT): On the Directives of Director General KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, indiscriminate operation against encroachments continues across the city. On the directives of DG KDA, Department of Estate and Enforcement demolished more than 500 slum huts in Gulistan-e-Johar Block 1/A and 2 Emenity plots and illegal construction were demolished by heavy machinery and 15 acres land took in the possession.
Operation against the occupants was carried out with coordination of local administration and law enforcement agencies. According to KDA Spokesperson DG KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah will submit a proposal to Sindh Government for establishment of PDMA buildings on evicted land in Gulistan-e-Johar block1/A. The spokesperson further said that no pressure will be accepted during the indiscriminate operation against encroachment, the Estate and Enforcement Department is spending all its energies to for eviction of land property. The process of implementing a monitoring system is ongoing and steps are being taken to protect the lands from occupants.
