Islamabad, May 31, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Institute of Multi-Track Dialogue Development and Diplomatic Studies (IDDDS) in collaboration with the Riphah Institute of Public Policy hosted an internal discussion in Islamabad centered around the G20 event organized by India in Illegally occupied region of Jammu and Kashmir. During this session, panellists shed light on the falsehoods perpetuated by India in the past and its current attempts to deceive by inviting representatives from various nations, accompanied by Indian propagandists, to the occupied territory.
Meanwhile, the indigenous people of the illegally occupied region have been coerced into closing their businesses, and schools, and restricting their movements due to the imposition of a complete blockade. However, India’s plans backfired as several key stakeholders, including China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Oman, and Egypt skipped the widely publicized meeting, which was framed around tourism. These nations rejected India’s illegal manoeuvre of organizing such an event in the conflict-ridden Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, penalises said.
Despite India’s relentless efforts to suppress the voices of the people in the occupied region, it has failed to depict a façade of normalcy, they added. International journalists have also questioned the absence of local residents, the deserted streets, and closed markets, resulting in a major embarrassment and failure for India. It is important for the global community to recognize that this conflict extends beyond mere developmental or employment concerns.
