India’s military occupation of J&K biggest obstacle to peace in region: Ghazali

Muzaffarabad, Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir has said that India’s military occupation of Jammu and Kashmir is the biggest obstacle to peace and development in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmad Ghazali in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad said that Indian imperialism is trying to erase every identity related to Islamic civilization in the occupied territory. He said India’s escape from the peaceful and fair solution of the Kashmir issue is the biggest obstacle to real peace and development in South Asia.

“The Bharatiya Janata Party-led Indian government has imposed a war on Kashmiri Muslims and has introduced imperialist policies such as turning the Muslim majority into a minority, seizing thousands of kanals of land belonging to local citizens, imprisoning innocent Kashmiri citizens and disempowering the Kashmiri people in their own homeland.”

These actions, he added, are a clear declaration that India is on the path to usurp Jammu and Kashmir like Israel is usurping the Palestinian land.

Ghazali said that the people of Kashmir reject Indian military occupation and forced rule and they will defend their state, Islamic identity and rights at all costs.
