Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed serious concerns over what he described as the extremist policies of the Indian government, warning that these actions pose a threat to peace and stability across South Asia. During a meeting with Italy’s Minister of Interior Matteo Piantedosi and his delegation, President Zardari emphasized the potential dangers stemming from India’s aggressive stance.

The discussions, held in Islamabad, highlighted India’s recent military actions against Pakistan, which, according to President Zardari, have resulted in civilian casualties, including women, children, and the elderly. He stressed that such hostilities could have severe repercussions for the broader region.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for both countries to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation. President Zardari expressed Pakistan’s appreciation for its relationship with Italy and reiterated a commitment to fostering mutually beneficial ties in various sectors.
