Islamabad, January 20, 2022 (PPI-OT):Indian atrocities in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) can well be defined as war crimes as per international law as the Kashmiris continue to suffer under brutal Indian occupation. Indian troops enjoying unbridled powers under draconian laws are continuously perpetrating war crimes and violating the international laws in the territory with impunity. Modi and his cohorts are responsible for war crimes against the Kashmiris, it said.
The report maintained that an international law firm, Stoke White, has said that Indian authorities are perpetrating war crimes and asked the UK police to nab the Indian army chief and Home Minister over their roles in war crimes in the occupied territory.
The report said that Indian troops should be prosecuted for committing the worst human rights violations in IIOJK and Indian atrocities in occupied territory must be pursued as war crimes. Indian troops are responsible for torture, kidnapping and killing of rights activists, journalists and civilians in the territory, it said.
The report said Indian war crimes have been documented by the international human rights organizations. It said, “Even the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in its two reports released in 2018 and 2019 has called for independent investigations into serious human rights violations by Indian troops in Kashmir.”
It said the time has come to hold Modi regime accountable for its crimes against humanity in Kashmir and the UN must put sanctions on India for violating the international laws in IIOJK. The report said the world must not remain a silent spectator on Indian war crimes in IIOJK, adding that the global powers must stop India from perpetrating war crimes and Modi and his aides must be brought to justice by initiating proceeding against them in the international criminal court.
