Indian troops martyr 16 Kashmiris in March

Srinagar, April 01, 2022 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred 16 sixteen Kashmiris in the last month of March.

According to the data released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, the killings rendered 2 women widowed and a child orphaned.

During the period, Indian police, troops and dreaded National Investigation Agency arrested 96 civilians, mostly political activists, youth and students during house raids and 143 cordon and search operations. Several of those arrested were booked under black laws, including Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and Public Safety Act (PSA).

Forty (40) youth were injured due to the use of brute force, including firing of pellets and teargas shells by Indian police and paramilitary personnel on peaceful demonstrators in the occupied territory.

Indian troops also disgraced and molested four women during the month. The forces also destroyed and damaged two houses.

Meanwhile, over four thousand Hurriyat leaders, activists, youth and students, including APHC Chairman, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Aasiya Andrabi, Naheeda Nasreen, Fehmeeda Sofi, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Pir Saifullah, Merajuddin Kalwal, Shahid-ul-Islam, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Syed Shahid Yousuf, Syed Shakeel Yousuf, Engineer Rasheed, Ameer Hamza, Muhammad Yousuf Falahi, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, Dr Muhammad Shafi Shariati, Dr Ghulam Muhammad Butt, Ghulam Qadir Butt, Muhammad Yousuf Mir, Rafiq Ahmad Ganai, Ghulam Muhammad Butt, Shakeel Ahmad Yatoo, Muhammad Shaba’an Dar, human rights defenders Khurrum Parvaiz and Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, journalists Asif Sultan, Sajad Ahmad Dar and Fahad Shah and a dozen Kashmiri women continue to remain lodged in different jails of India and IIOJK and subjected to the worst political vengeance.
